What Vegas Paid

About What Vegas Paid

Built with love by a couple of Las Vegas homeowners.

We've been there. The AC dies in July, someone comes out, and you're staring at a quote with no idea if it's fair. We've lived it with our own homes, and we've heard the same story from a lot of friends and neighbors: two quotes for the same job thousands of dollars apart, repairs that didn't fix anything, "you need a whole new system" when you didn't.

So we started digging. What do AC repairs, water heaters, plumbers and roofs actually cost here? We pulled together contractor price guides, local news, public posts from homeowners and the rules from the city and the utilities. At some point it stopped being notes and turned into a lot of useful info.

It felt like a waste to keep it to ourselves. So we put it all here, free, for anyone in the Las Vegas valley (or anywhere else) who's trying to figure out if a price is fair.

Our promise: no contractor pays to be on this site right now. If that ever changes, we'll only feature companies, programs or services we've actually checked out and trust. They'll always be clearly labeled, and they'll never change a single number.

How we get our numbers

Two sources: published ranges from local contractors and cost guides, and real prices shared by Las Vegas and Henderson homeowners.

Published ranges

Each published number links to the page it came from and shows that page's date when it has one. We review these regularly and replace anything stale. Contractor pages are a starting point, not gospel, since they're written by people selling the work.

Neighbor reports

Homeowners share the job, what they paid, the area and the month. We check each one looks like a real job before publishing it, and we never publish the company name or anything that identifies you.

Featured companies

There aren't any yet. If we add them, they'll be licensed, vetted by us first, clearly labeled as paid, and they'll never change the price data on any page.

Spot something wrong?

Tell us on the contact page. We check it against the source, fix it if it's off, and note the change on the page.
